I’m very sad about so many of our classmates who have left us. Especially Mary Lou Schneider — the last I saw her was at the 10th reunion. She was one of my only friends in high school, and I had my “first date” with her, something I will never forget — I took her to see Jonathan Winters at the Bayfront Center, cost was $ 4 each ! I’m sure many others feel like I do: why didn’t I stay in touch with certain special people ?

I went to SPHS for one year (19656-66) and then to finish at Lakewood HS. I ran in to Brett Culpepper at his mom’s memorial service that was held at Lakewood Methodist. His mom Blanche lived at Suncoast Manor on 9 street and Pinellas Point Drive. Call Pat Evans who is the receptionist and she can provide you more information. (Note: Brett suffers from MS.)

I found several classmates and friend on your deceased list that shocked me, Frank Fogel and his sister Georgianna went to Mt. Vernon elementary as well as Tom Olson, we also went to Mirror Lake Jr. High together. I also went to South Side Jr. High and St. pete. High with Wally VanSyckle and Bruce Palmer. I only attended St. Pete. High from 1963 – 1964, my sophomore year, then my GED in 1965, makes me wish I had stayed in touch as I just heard that Stephanie North recently passed.
